Beth has studied violin for 15 years. During her senior year in high school she studied Celtic fiddle under Paul Weatherly Tisdale. After high school she continued to create her own fiddle voice.
In addition to the violin, Beth can play viola, treble viola da gamba, bass viola da gamba, mandolin, bodhran, bowed psaltry, and rebec (medieval ancestor of the violin). She has high hopes of purchasing a reproduction baroque violin one day.
She plays a 1994 Rudolph Deutch violin setup and purchased from Weaver's House of Violins. Her fiddle bow is a baroque bow. |

This is Beth's alter-ego, a wandering minstrel at the North Carolina Renaissance Faire in Raleigh, NC. (Yes, that is a box of cash at her feet! :) |
