OFFICER TRAINING DAY CAMP - The photos taken at Officer Training Day Camp are posted and seen at http://www.pinehillranch.us/gallery/main.php or click here. This camp, sponsored by Cloverleaf 4-H, was held on August 14, 2007 at Pine Hill Ranch in Alto. A fun day of learning was enjoyed by ten 4-H members and six adult volunteers. The primary focus of the day was the duties, responsibilities, and character traits of an officer and leader in 4-H. Tammi Vasquez, club manager of GoGetters 4-H in Brazoria County, was camp director and did an excellent job. Thank you, Tammi!
2007-2008 OFFICERS - Cloverleaf 4-H elected new officers for the 2007-2008 year on June 19, 2007. On August 14, the new executive council met with club leaders for a planning meeting. It was noted that two of our offices were not filled for various reasons. President elect Rhain McDonald, with the approval of those present, appointed Staceson Myles as Secretary and Crosby Myles as Treasurer for the upcoming year. It is an honor to announce that the new officers for the 2007-2008 year are as follows:
LEADERSHIP DAY CAMP - Leadership Day Camp was a great success! Cloverleaf 4-H sponsored a Leadership Day Camp at Pine Hill Ranch in Alto on August 7, 2007. Eleven 4-H members and five adult volunteers attended and everyone (leaders included) had a great time.
Kelli did not get to attend as planned. She got a JOB. Way to go, Kelli! Tammi stepped into her place. She and Cody put on a fantastic program. Topics included Parliamentary Procedure, Fund Raising, Community Service, Team Building, and Communication Skills. There were plenty of fun activities, projects, and games. THANK YOU, TAMMI, CODY, AND JANA!!
Be sure to join us on August 14 for the Officer Training Day Camp. You do not have to be an officer to attend. All Cherokee County 4-H members are invited.
We took lots of photos so feel free to browse.
FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION - In the place of the regular July meeting, Cloverleaf had a Fourth of July Celebration at Pine Hill Ranch in Alto. The weather held off and the event happened as scheduled. The menu included hamburgers, hot dogs and lots of snacks and desserts. Swimming was the most popular event, but there were also games, a zip line, and fireworks. Mrs. Terri McDonald brought her guitar and entertained with live music. Thank you, Terri! A special thank you to Keith Kendrick for his help with the fireworks!

AWARDS BANQUET - Cloverleaf 4-H finished the 2006-2007 year and kicked off the new 2007-2008 year with an awards banquet on June 19, 2007 at the A. Frank Smith Methodist Church in Alto, Texas. The food was great - brisket, beans, tater salad, and all the trimmings. New officers were elected for the coming year. And, of course, there were LOTS of awards.
