May 2004 News
Not too much news around here lately; which we like.  Let's see....the hummingbirds are back.  We saw about 8 feeding this morning.  We have 3 Bluebird nests this year after a shutout last year.  One Bluebird nest has 3 eggs in it.
Gari & I had a Kentucky Derby party again this year.
Kitty and Floyd came.  Jennifer C. had the winning horse, Floyd had the show horse and Michelle B. had the place horse.  Jennifer had the winning horse for the second year in a row!  Floyd had fun but didn't know he had a winner but Kitty quickly collected his prize.
With the improving weather we are spending more time outside with the animals and tending the grounds.  I am working with Silver on ground work and manners.  He is improving everyday.  I have him walking over poles laying on the ground, plastic tarps, and an astroturf rug.  I am using some techniques I saw on a
Pat Pirelli DVD.  We replanted the garden pasture and the grass is growing well everywhere.  We have had plenty of rain and sunshine too.  We have all of the small engines running including Kitty and Floyd's lawnmower.  The pollen is here but it is not as bad as it has been in past years....yet.

Shilo visited around St. Patrick's Day.  We celebrated Easter at Esteen's house with Kitty and Floyd.
