| It is common practice aboard many Imperial vessels to have a small
launch for the use of the Captain and his staff on away missions, this
launch is called the Captain's yacht. During a battle the Captains
Yacht is sometimes used to transfer the Admiral to another ship should
the Flagship become badly damaged or crippled, it is a dangerous gamble
though. Quite often the Yacht will be intercepted by enemy fighters
before it can reach it's destination and be destroyed. This of course has
a massive impact on the morale of the fleet as they watch their beloved
Admiral be blown out of the sky.
System At the start of your turn declare that you are transferring the Flag. For that turn you can not use Command re-rolls and the ship reverts to it's original leadership value. During the Ordinance phase the Yacht is launched and is treated as a fighter base with a move of 15 cm and a save of 4+ just like eldar fighters (the Yacht is slow but heavily armoured). If the yacht makes it into base contact with a friendly Capital ship it is considered to have docked safely, however if the yacht is destroyed by the enemy then all ships are counted as having -1 leadership in their next turn. If the Yacht docks safely the fleet is able to use fleet re-rolls again from the following turn but may not use the Admiral's leadership value while he is aboard any ship other than the original Flagship. |
