Adeptus Mechanicus
Ordinatus Hydraphur

The Ordinatus of the Adeptus Mechanicus are considered to be the Embodiment of the Machine God himself and are only rarely deployed in battle.  The Ordinatus whether on land, airborne or in space are engines of great sophistication and power and are viewed with awe and fear by the Machine God's enemies.  Ordinatus Hydraphur was built as an experiment to see if an ancient Necron artefact called the Shroud of Night could be integrated into an Imperial Cruiser.   Despite burning out the shield generators the experiment was a success and Ordinatus Hydraphur has served with distinction for the past five centuries though it has been the target of both Eldar and Necron ambushes.  It is no great surprise that the Inquisition and Officio Assasinorum have shown a great deal of interest in the Hydraphur.

Special Rules:  Ordinatus Hydraphur is fitted with an ancient Necron device called the Shroud of Night which allows it to disappear from view for a short period of time.  During the movement phase you may activate the Shroud. For every turn after the first roll a dice, on the second turn the ship will reappear on a 2+, 3+ on the third and so on. While the shroud is activated the ship may not use special orders or fire any weapons, however nor may it be shot at or rammed while it is invisible.  While shrouded the ship is visible while in contact with blast markers and dust clouds but will remain invisible once it moves beyond them.  The Shroud may only be used once per game and may be de-activated by the player controlling the vessel at any time.

The power source for the Shroud of Darkness interferes with normal shield generator's and so Ordinatus Hydraphur has been equipped with masses of Ablative armour which give it a 5+ save against Lances, Weapons Batteries, Heavy Guns, Bombardment Cannons and Torpedoes.  Because of the Ablative Armour the Ordinatus Hydraphur is heavy to manoeuvre and may not use Come to new Heading special orders.
