| Ebolai, a mighty anti-hero serving the plague god Nurgle, was responsible for that monstrosity. The Despicable Abomination, as it was named by Lord Admiral Nakamura, is a super dreadnought of prodigious proportions and is extremely deadly. Slow and plodding, like many servants of the god of decay, the ship is heavily armed with a phlethora of weapons, chief among them massive Macro Cannon batteries. In comparison, the plasma cannon batteries are long ranged, and add power at long range. Fighter and bomber squadrons to balance the slow speed of the Abomination are based in dorsal and side hangars, normally used to pound enemy escorts to make way for the mothership to deal with the enemies capital ships. Several unholy weapons are also aboard. The festering torpedo tubes fire blobs of horrible projectiles, known as plague torpedoes. They pack no standard warheads, but spread venom and deadly gases in the target ship and the walls themselves are infected, killing crew and spawning plague beast to ravage among the helpless sailors. The massive bridge construct is described as a plague tower by captured hit-and-run crews from that ship. It contains the essence of a greater daemon, they say, and from it, great cloud of pest and plague are blown into space, disrupting targeting sensors for whatever reason. Despicable Abomination was recently sighted in the Cerberus sector, but only accompanying ships are known to actually participate in a battle. It is believed that Ebolai uses that ship as a mobile headquarters, directing his fleets from there and transporting reinforcing troops to invaded planets. |
