Like all things, there is are strict rules behind the definition of fire, its classifications and how it works.  Wildfires have been classified into different categories, their fuels classified into groups, and its definition clearly outlined.  To understand forest fires, is to understand the science topics.  This was the most difficult section to create, but also the most interesting.

Throughout the ages tribes, peoples, cultures and countries have developed their own unique idea of what fire is, and how to prevent it from damaging them.  Under legends you will find the Native American and Greek stories behind fire, and under civilization ancient and more modern fire fighting methods will be discussed.
