| Back in the time of early civilization, long before the "amp" or the "guitar" was created, man had to find ways to keep his life interesting. He found that putting stone to stone created a subconscious feeling that took a strange control over him, and while it frightened him, he enjoyed it. It pulsed through him from his brain to his toes, causing him to tap his feet and clap his hands together. Little did he know that this small discovery would lead to the birth of music, and in turn, the birth of CloSure. That's what CloSure is, after all: CloSure is the music, CloSure is the blood and the sweat and the tears that go with going out and busting your ass to put on a show with as much emotion and intensity as is humanly possible... and then some. This is what CloSure is, a band trying to bring the emphasis to the emotion of the meaning of the music, and to have some fun while they're at it. CloSure was started in the winter of '01 by Matty who would sing, while he hit this things with strings on it, and Kevin Holland, who beat things with sticks. However, they sought to increase the size of the band with other members as hungry as they were to make some music and have some fun. Kev just happened to know of one "Matt David", a mysterious figure who reportedly played a 6 string beast. After joining up, the trio felt there was something missing... particularly a low end to round out the sound. This is why Mike Kastanas was recruited around March of '01 after being seen going stir crazy with his 4 string monstah. With the line-up apparently set in stone, the 4 musicians entered the local scene. After getting their feet wet with a small public show, they played at a Battle of the Bands at the Worcester Palladium, and knew that they wanted more. They played shows around Massachussetts and even in New Hampshire up through 2001 and mid 2002. Months went by with CloSure playing more and more shows and expanding the so-called fanbase. The first CD was recorded as a live demo at a venue CloSure blew apart. Newer, more powerful and explosive songs emerged. Things slowed down, however, in May-June '02. Serious band problems and much frustration caused minor parting in CloSure. But since then, CloSure has sparked a new, more intense light. CloSure overcame the hurdles that were in their path, and is now exherting the power and intensity that their music creates. CloSure is ready to bring to you a musical wave of sound that will stretch the limitations of human senses. Are you ready to receive? |
