Paris Hilton buys former London brothel for $1.4 million

The 27-year-old hotel heiress is thrilled with her $1.4 million investment located in the city’s famous ‘East End’ district and has no qualms about the illicit history of the building, which was also a haven for drug users and pirates.

Paris said: "It’s just beautiful. It doesn’t have regular rooms but is more like a maze."

"It used to be an opium den and still has iron joists where pirates and thieves were shackled to the wall."

The socialite’s new home was apparently used by vagabonds and sailors who wanted to indulge in sinful pleasures after months at sea.

A source added to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: "Paris really appreciated the quirkiness of the place – and the knockdown price for such a unique building – and immediately put in an offer."

Paris, who is currently filming ‘Paris Hilton's My New BBF (British Best Friend)’ in the UK, has admitted she has fallen in love with the famous city.

She said: "I love London, it's my favourite city in the world. I'm shooting my new show and having an amazing time. I love British people, they rock! Everything from their personalities, style and, of course, the accents. I would love to live here one day."

Wednesday 22 October 2008, I wrote in my ex-senor high school friend’s mailing list, a joke answering my friend Nukliek’s question.

She was asking the difference of BB and HP. Of course what she meant was Black Berry and Hand Phone, but as usual among my friends in the mailing list there are many jokes. So I answered her: "……BB requires Odorono, while HP if there were no widows……".

The term BB often used in Odorono product advertisements as the abbreviation of "bau badan", which means "body smell".

While HP, in the seventies and eighties when there were not so many hotels in Jakarta, was famous among young executives as the hotel at Central Jakarta that became the place for middle-class prostitutes to get their customers.

Actually, what I really meant was that since most of the members in the mailing list have been around the age of fifty, so when no widows wants, it would be better to play with hand-phone, playing with the games in the hand-phone, or sms with someone. Because if fifty years old man wanting to marry young virgin girls, it would not be easy.

Nevertheless, it seems like Paris Hilton preferred the earlier meaning. Then came the news on that same day of 22 October 2008, of Paris Hilton buying former brothel in London.

It inspired me to think that there could be a future collaboration between Paris Hilton and Rahma Sarita to support each other to become presidents. Rahma Sarita to become Indonesian president in 2014, while Paris Hilton to become US president in 2016. And I only watch them from the eternity…….
