Yesterday in Fox News there was the news about Steve Wynn's painting of Picasso, when he accidentally poked his elbow through the canvas that caused him to spend US $ 85,000 repair bill. It immediately remind me with my new painting, because the eyes of the wayang is in line though the head is from an angle point of view, like in Picasso's painting. There could be a question whether it was inspired by Picasso's painting. the answer is that the wayang figure has been created since the year 939 AD by the Javanese king Jayabaya, and developed since then by the other kings up to the 15 century. Of course I have no capacity to comment about whether Picasso was inspired by the wayang figure, but to be sure of such eyes on line like that could be created by anyone with or without inspired by any previous images.
