The traditional jersey color of the national team (as well as of all Italian teams and athletes, except in motor sports) is sky blue (azzurro, in Italian), and therefore national team members are nicknamed Azzurri.
Sky blue was the color of the Royal House of the Kingdom of Italy. In its first match, the Italian national team wore white shirts with shorts from the club of each player; the sky blue shirts were introduced in the following match.

France team nickname Les Bleus (The Blues)

You may also know that football, or in the U.S. it is called soccer, has become the most popular sport in the world now. Every four years FIFA held the FIFA World Cup participated by hundreds of countries around the world. The final round of FIFA World Cup 2006 is the world most watched sport event, viewed by more than a billion people either directly in the stadiums in Germany or through TV.

When I began to write these letters on  June 21, 2006 there were still 16 teams of different countries having their matches, and there were some favorite teams that people wish to win, like Germany, Argentine, France, England, Italy, Netherland, Brazil.

I was choosing the blue color for the frame of these letters without thinking about which two teams would reach the final match. Later on, one by one most of the teams were tumbling, and only two of them left to meet in the finale, France and Italy. And both of them known as having the nick name related with blue color, France "les bleus" or "the blues", and Italian "Azzurri" or "blue prince".

So what could be the message about this.

An asteroid has missed its collision with earth on July2, 2006.

According to the news, US scientists have said an asteroid hurtling through space came within a hair's breadth -- in astronomical terms, at least -- of crashing into the Earth.

Like reflecting the "closing the window of disaster", hopefully it would followed by other failures of other huge disasters.
