The SAA is an operational component of the Information Processing Division of the NOAA Office of Satellite Data Processing and Distribution (OSDPD). The SAA provides no data distribution other than in electronic form. POES data on magnetic tape or cartridge is provided through arrangement with NOAA's National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). |

Data from the Aerobraking-1, SPO-1, and SPO-2 phases of the mission is also available; other data will be released according to this schedule. Galileo SSI and NIMS data are available via the Planetary Image Atlas. |

The resulting image shows intense topographic relief picked up from the SAR data combined with the color information from Landsat TM. . Merged Data Image Sample MERGED DATA SETS Optical Merges Many remote sensing data sources cannot provide both the color information available from multispectral data and high spatial resolution detail on the same sensor platform. Merging data sets from two different platforms is one way to obtain an image with both high spatial resolution and color multispectral information. The merged image provides increased detail in urban areas in order to better define cultural features such as roads and buildings. |
