BCCC's Student Leadership Network for Children (SLNC) conducts the Ella Baker Child Policy Training Institute and sends trained college students to work as teachers, counselors, and role models for disadvantaged children in summer Freedom Schools across the country. CDF has purchased the late Alex Haley's 158-acre Tennessee farm as a folk school for life. |
