Because tuition and fees only cover about half the cost of a Duke education, unrestricted gifts to Duke not only help cover annual operating costs of the university but also offer the flexibility to finance new programs that significantly enrich the Duke experience. Annual Fund dollars go to work immediately and are used where the need is the greatest. The success of the Duke Parents' Program is fueled by the leadership and support of the Duke Parents' Committee, a volunteer body of some 200 Duke parents. For more information about the Parents' Program, please contact Sterly Wilder, Director of the Duke Annual Fund at sterly. The weekend is a good way for parents to get a feel for the campus and the undergraduate life here. |
