Motor by Earl Burley of American Performance Paint (with Ghost Flames) by Bobby Rocco This FLH is dedicated to my lost brothers, who are inscripted on the tank divider. It cruises excellent at 65, and has plenty leftover for passing. I was on my way to the Four Corners Run last year, when I had to pull up in Needles Ca. Earl races sporty's at the dragstrips across the USA, some of you people who visit 4 speeds site may recognize his name. The painter said I needed to get rid of the previous paint job ( a hideous pumkin orange puke brownish red yuck) so I let him him talk me into it.
1 plateholder Scott Truett went out in an earlier round. Steve Lundstrom locked up the Ballistic Bike Wear Pro Fuel national riding title despite one of the scarier moments Sunday. Approaching the end of his first elimination pass - a bye run, ironically - Lundstrom was buffeted by the 20mph-plus headwinds that greeted the riders on this chilly day. The wind lifted the visor on his helmet (at about 170 mph), twisted Lundstrom's head around, and caused him to drive into a speed reflector. In the Super Gas Class, three riders entered this event locked in a tie for the national riding championship.
