One of the most impressively loyal owners in the Chuck Long League, Mike Nicholson clutches desperately to Lions players and, for some reason, Sebastian Janikowski. (Sea Bass made the squad the first three years of its existence and returned in 2006.) In 2002, the team pulled off a disgusting series of trades that frittered away every bit of talent in exchange for anyone in the Honolulu blue and silver. This included giving away Tiki Barber AND David Carr for Joey Harrington, as well as the low point (November 15, 2002) when Chris Chambers was traded for Corey Schlesinger. In 2005, the Panthers traded Trent Green and Clinton Portis to the Serengeti Siafu for Chris Brown and Drew Brees. That year, Green and Portis led the Siafu to their first ever Super Bowl, while Brown and Brees dragged the Panthers to a 4-10 finish. In 2004, the team rode the rocket arm of Peyton Manning all the way to the Super Bowl, only to lose to the expansion Beer Bastard. Team has made several endowments to the Chuck Long Hall of Fame, including the Starting Lineup Action Figure and a #16 Lions jersey. Mike Nicholson is the only owner known to have disappeared in the middle of a draft.
