Aubrey Beardsley: The Dancer's Reward

Aubrey Beardsley: The Climax 1894

This is similar to the one he created for The Studio but it is not exact. They owned the copywrite to the original he made for them. In the original, he used a hairline style that was not used in the making of the second. It still have a fluid like movement to it and a unique original idea.

Aubrey Beardsley: Enter Herodias 1894

Here is an example of some outrageous drawings he's done. This one was actually considered to be acceptable. Most of the other more obscene drawings would not be acceptable in public. Because there is an over sized fig leaf concealing the part of the man, it was seen as acceptable.

The more obscene drawings include sexual content and gestures. An area where Posada and Loewy never dared to go.

Aubrey Beardsley: The Black Cape 1894

This drawing reveals japonesque influences that Beardsley adapted.

The use of black creating shapes and the decorations of the garment.
