Clip-Art Comedy is "Number 1" at Geocities!
...whatever that means.
Yes! It's true!

If the general public go to Geocities and search for the word "comedy" then they are presented with the choice between various types of humour , eg. Television, Film, Stand-up etc.

If they then choose to go to the generic "comedy" group of sites - then our own humble "clip-art comedy" site comes out as the number one option on the page!

We have no idea what this means - ie: if were the most popular or not, but were still really pleased anyway.
We just got 3000 hits in total on the site! This may be peanuts compared to "The Irish Times" or "Google" who get millions a day, but for a small site, such as we are, this is a fantastic achievement.

Many other sites on geocities that display comedy content ripped off from other sites have taken twice as long to get even 1000 hits. About 60% of our hits are coming in from search engines, and thus are from people who are complete strangers to us.

And speaking of search engines: Were starting to appear on them. You can now search for "clip-art comedy" (in quotes like this) in engines such as Google.com and Altavista.com, and from there it's very easy to find us. Again - we're very happy about this as it means lots of new traffic will hopefully be coming our way!
