Also,
most Beausim spells have a time limit for how long they take effect for:
Most spells in Beausim can be classified into
5 main groups:
* Anamalia Beausim: The Gorgonian Hair Hex is in this category,
as this section deals with changing body parts (hair, arms etc), into animals.
* Gothodica Beausim: The changing of hair and skin colours into
multi colours, patterns or just a slight change or base colour look (black,
green etc) Also involves changing the colour and appearance of clothing.
* Lightdicticsol Beausim: Concerns make-up application and old style
Muggle fashion
* Updatechno Beausim: Concerns fashion spells in the style of the
(*stops to lick paw*) meowwwww Japanese Teenage Muggles and other
zany muggle hair styles. This branch also stems into Gothodica, with changing
the colour of the hair. As you can see, Fashion Magic is a very confused
strain!
* Misculinto Beausim: Anything that doesn't seem to fit in the other
groupings
Beausim is very popular amoung pre teen-teen-young adult wizards and witches.

You are to design 5 spells, one for each category of Beausim. They must be in the following format:
Spell Name:
Incantation:
Pronounciation of Incantation:
Spell Effect:
Other Details of Spell:
Some Examples are:
A spell that turns your skin into a warm, furry jacket
A spell that turns your fingernails into fish scales
A spell that makes your hair change colour every hour.
A spell that turns your eyes into diamonds
(please do not use example, points will be
taken if I see a spell that does any of the above)
Picture Finder
Find a picture on the net of a "witch or wizard" who seems to have used Fashion Magic on themselves. Write approx. 3 short paragraphs on what you think they changed and what spells it seems they have used, also say what branch of Beausim they seem to have used. Send the picture you used as well as the paragraphs.
Witch Fashion Magazine
You are to write a short or long article for a
Witching Fashion magazine known as Witch Fashion, you may
include pictures of "witches and wizards" showing the latest trend in wizard
fashion using Beausim. You could do a Dolly-style quiz (eg. Cackling
Good Looks: Do I Have What It Takes?) or maybe a step by step
guide to how to make yourself look witchy wonderful for that big Witches
Meeting and Cheesy Whiners night.
They must be in .html or .htm format, all pieces
(this is not optional, though all homework to be done in this unit is not
due till the end of the Wand Unit, that's the end of the term) and will
be transformed into a Fashion Magic mag in the Charms library (coincidentally
called Witch Fashion?)
The e-mail, it must be seperate to the others
must be subject: Lesson 3: Witch Fashion Magazine
The attachments can be up to 700kb, more
if zipped up. You must include your HOL name and Student ID
with the mail.
Here is an example of a briefly outlined step by step guide on how to make yourself look witchy (could use something like this for a guide, you should also include spells though for each change!!!)
