| I have talked about my dire need to go offroading, but I have never needed to go so badly as to destroy public property . I have made the mistake of going someplace I shouldn't. We all have as we learn the right way and the wrong way to enjoy htis sport. The ability to transverse difficult terrain holds a higher responsibility. Just because you can does not mean you should. | ||||||||||||
| I went on an exploration of a local park that has the reputatio for being a spot to splash in some mud puddles. Each time I go out there the damage is worse then before. Not too long ago the park had turned a small plot of land into a butterfly planting area. Hoping to attract a group of butterflies. Someone decided to that the parks newly plowed land oked like a great place to dive their 4x4s. The park has since made repairs and setup some telephone poles to try and stop this kind of abuse again. |

| This is one of the reasons a four wheel drive club is so important to Clinton County and surrounding areas. Please help to keep our sport in good standing in the community. These types of behaviors can be changed with the right education. THe best way to learn this sport is by watching someone who has been at it a while. That is how I learned to be a good steward to the sport and stay within the good graces of the general pubic while still having a great time. In the coming months we will be planning a trip every month to a off road park or state riding area. These may be the best time to get out and learn the right way to enjoy your 4x4. We are only 45 minutes to an hour from some of the best wheeling in the country. We do not need to do it in city parks. Whether you are new to the sport or just want to find some friends to offroad with please feel free to check back to see when our first trip will be. Built truck are fine and so are right off the show room floor. Please come out and join us. | ||||||||||||
