NEWS 9/04/05:Still some thinking. Almost 50000 miles on my car now. Over two years since the truck was sold, still thinking. Had my fun with it but am pissed about the money that I pissed away with it. Still think about it this 27 months later. The owner before me finally admitted he knew jack shit about the gas mileage. He said 15 MPG at normal driving but with the same driving, I got 8 and that did't even include the gas that mysteriously disappeared (leaked?). Next time I buy used, CARFAX I use. Truck sure looked great on the outside but under the hood wasn't worth shit. Two owners before me drove it real hard.
NEWS 3/22/05:Almost two years after the truck is gone, my PT has 40,000 miles. Just about 31,000 miles since 5/31/03 thanks to commutes from school (Cincy) and home, two western road trips (one being 3900 miles, the other 5800), and commutes from work and home today. Work is always at least 8 miles from me. Doing fine. Mobil 1 synthetic oil and Airraid cold air intake. Just little improvements. Plus new Rage wheels. One of the cheapest but still miles better than the factory wheels. What car company makes good factory wheels anyway? Plus Kicker 470 watt amp with two 10 inch subs sound system and XM satellite radio with the portable MyFi (see more about that in the tech page).
NEWS 5/31/03:The truck is sold! My Mom was wanting to get a Jeep Liberty today. So we traded the truck in for one. I get her PT Cruiser (her old car, comes with all options except for non-chrome wheels). Damn good car and only has 9,300 miles!
NEWS 5/30/03:I am selling my truck. I just need something efficient for summer job, August Road Trip, and fall classes in Cincinnati. I also need more seating and "enclosed space." I will miss my truck, it's powerfullness and confortness, and it's STUNNING looks on the front side. I just need something smaller and more economical (less trips to the gas station).
I am "inheriting" my Mom's Chrysler PT Cruiser. Hot red and only 9 K miles. 20 MPG city economy.
Well, in memory of it, pictures!
