Fade up.

We open to Simon Terry's apartment in Memphis, Tennessee. Simon sitting on his leather sofa, which is about the only piece of furniture left in the place. Simon's just settled on an offer for his home. For those keeping score, SST has sold two of his three houses in two months, which leaves him with only his home in Tupelo, Mississippi. Simon has agreed to sit down with an old friend of the Terry family to speak on his move to WPW, and other questions to the new set of fans. The friend is former DDWF and Major League commentator, Arliss Taylor. Simon adjust his Hurley baseball and relaxes in his chair before starting the interview.

Arliss: Good to be back in front of the cameras after working behind the scenes for so long.

Simon: I'm glad you agreed to do this for me Arliss, even if it is just a part time gig for you.

Arliss: Let's just get to it for the people. This week's Goldpush will be the first time in WPW that you step into the ring without your partner Shawn in your corner. People are speculating whether or not you can hack it in the big time without him. How do you feel about that?

Simon: Everyone knows the respect that I have for SBK.....and everyone knows the respect he has for me. When Shawn came to me a few months ago and said that he needed a partner for a "tag team only" contract he had signed, I was more than ready to jump at the chance. Especially once I took a good look at WPW and saw the way things were ran around there. At first, I thought it would be easy. I thought that I could go in every few weeks and do a match. I don't think that Shawn nor I ever expected to take this federation as big as we did. I know that SBK gives it his all every time he steps into that ring, no matter who the opponent is or what the stipulations are. He's always been and always will be a worker.....but, no sooner than I signed that contract myself, things have been piling up on me inside and outside the business.

Arliss: You do hold one half of the WPW tag team titles. Simon: And I will uphold my end of that team. Alot of people are speculating that SBK is carrying the major part of the load of this team, and sometimes I feel that they have every right to believe that. Like I said, I've had some problems here lately.

Arliss: Care to express on any of those problems?

Simon: Well, I've agreed to work out my contract with other federation until around the middle of July. It's been hard flying back and forth every week and still making time for family and friends back home. Then there's other non-wrestling side projects that I have going on also.

Arliss: Many people know the problems that you had with Cissy Miyas, and some of the long time SST fans are speculating that it could be problems of that nature. Is there any truth to that?

Simon: Well, most of the dirty laundry between Cissy and myself was aired on television, and alot of people remember that. The stress of not only losing a fiance, a tag team partner, and friend, but the stress of the entire world watching it also was an enormous weight for me. It even drove me to my addiction to alcohol.

Arliss: Any problems there?

Simon: None at all, sober almost two years now. I have recently went through some personal changes in my life lately, but that hasn't even been an option for me.

Arliss: You spoke of "non-wrestling" side projects earlier. What type of side projects do you mean?

Simon: Television appearances, commercials, even a music project that I'm working on with some old friends. Nothing major, just time consuming.

Arliss: The other superstars of WPW have a low opinion of the tag team titles. Even your partner for this week ZJ has noted it himself. What's your opinion on that?

Simon: Well, everyone knows that the WPW tag titles have been thrown aside to other titles way before SBK and I had them. I feel that WPW is not lacking the talent to elevate the competition for them, just the strive from the other superstars.

Arliss: Most people know that you hold another tag title in your other federation, which do you feel is more important?

Simon: Wow, that's a dirty question Arliss. I didn't expect you to go there?

Arliss: I'm just asking the questions that people want to know about.

Simon: Just kidding. Well, I can't say that either would be more important than the other. I've made it well known that I intend on leaving the other federation as soon as my contract is up, but I do plan on defending those titles there until the end. As far as the WPW titles go, I've made SBK a promise, and I'm not going to let him down either. He put alot of trust in me when he asked me to be his partner, I respect that, and I'm not going to forget that.

Arliss: Shawn made a mention of Grendel. He's held tag title with him in the past, is there any kind of jealousy or resentment for that?

Simon: Grendel is a friend in the business to both me and SBK. I would think it nothing but the best for all three of us if he were to scout out WPW. Could even mean a huge roadblock for Hybrid Theory.

Arliss: It that a challenge?

Simon: Let's not speculate on anything yet. I haven't even spoke to Grendel or Shawn on that subject. I have no idea what there feelings on that would be.

Arliss: SBK has been kind of vague on what his title shot would be if he won the lethal lottery. What would your request be?

Simon: I'm going to go that same direction. I've thought about that alot and I think I'm going to keep that a secret.

Arliss: A suprise?

Simon: I will say this, I'm not looking for a world title match, for my own reasons....and anyone can get a television title shot on any Goldpush. We've already got the tag team titles. That rules out three titles.

Arliss: Big Gold then?

Simon: I could be something creative like Roy Lee came up with. I'm just going to leave that one alone.

Arliss: So, what do think of teaming with a man you don't even know this week?

Simon: Well, I've already seen that ZJ has a very low opinion of me, but I'm going to go in there and give it 100% just like any other match. I feel like ZJ can hold his own in the ring, and I think he will probably be the make or break for us in this match. I've had experience with Rodriguez, but he wasn't at his best. I've never seen Bobby Bueballs, that could be a good thing, or it could be a bad thing. Never the less, I will give it my all this week.

Arliss: I know that you've got limited time to finish packing up the rest of your stuff. I'm going to go ahead and end this, any comments before we finish.

Simon: Arliss, WPW has yet to see the best of Simple Simon Terry and I feel that once they do, the others backstage will take more notice. I feel that some of the guys have been too quick to judge me. They'll see just what SST is made of sooner than they think. Things will pick up for me inside and outside the ring, and everyone will see just what I'm capable of.

Arliss: Okay, then we'll call that a wrap.

The cameras stop rolling as Simon and Arliss shake hands and Simon returns to packing up his belongings. At Goldpush, we'll get to see exactly if ZJ and SST can work as a team, and if Simon will show WPW what he can do.
