[Fade up.]
[The scene opens to the inside of the Real Deal Gym, probably for the very last time ever. In the center is the practice ring....an old practice ring...lost of people have been cut, bruised, battered and broken in this ring. It's not that Cole Terry was a Stu Hart or anything, but he did expect alot from his guys. Around the ring seperated into two groups are the graduates of Real Deal. The newest which are now known as "The Grads": Braddah' Moke, The Red, Lewis, Ritchie and Archie Lane, Wolfgang Griffin, and the final two graduates JC Pop and Jonny Leathers. The opposite side are the past graduates, almost considered the "mades": Cage Sullivan, Simple Simon Terry, Rhemses Trekker, Lil' Oscar and Juice Montoya. Only one graduate is missing from this "evolution" of wrestlers, her name Cissy Miyas, which hasn't wrestled in almost two years. In the center of the ring is Cole Terry prepared to give his people one last pep talk.]
Cole: I stand here today almost wanting to change my mind about closing this place after looking around. I see lots of faces from my past, and lots of friends. I feel that my time being a trainer was as important to wrestling as my time as a wrestler, maybe even greater. I feel like I've helped make the careers of the guys to my left, and set wrestling's future with the guys to my right. I've felt what it feels like to be a champion, and others here also. I hope that each one of you guys here today get to feel that also. I know the entense feeling of looking across that ring at my opponent and wanting nothing more that to hold their shoulders down for that one, two, three. That will happen for everyone here. I feel like each of you have the talent to make it in that ring, if you just use your heads and strengths. I'm going to let some of the others speak to you right now on this final day of Real Deal's opening. First off, former Major League and XWA tag team champion, former Major League World champion, former NEW cruiserweight champion and my brother Simple Simon Terry.
[Simon walks into the ring and stands beside Cole as he hands him the microphone for words of wisdom and encouragement to the graduates.]
Simon: Everyday I think about my career and what it means to me. "Where will it go tommorrow?", "what direction should I take?". Things change in the wrestling business everyday, that's one reason I love it. It's not something routine like a factory job, or clerical job. In the wrestling business there's nobody who can predict what's going to happen from one week to the next. You've got to be able to take what you are given and make the best of it. Keep your mind focused on what you are doing at the time, and still keep a backup plan for every turn in the future. I've had opportunities in the past, some I ran with, some I lost. I'm going to have opportunities in the future, one coming at the end of this week even. It takes a drive and a focus to make a great wrestler, not a belt or a paycheck. If you want it bad enough, it'll happen.
[Simon hands the microphone back to Cole and takes his seat once again. Cole steps back into the center of the ring and looks around.]
Cole: The next person I want to talk a bit' is someone who is just getting his "biggest" moment in the spotlight, Rhemses Trekker.
[Rhemses follows Simon suit stepping into the ring and getting the microphone.]
Rhemses: This weekend, I'm going to step into the ring in my biggest match ever. Not looking across the ring at one man, but six. I have to look at my partner with complete trust. I have to believe not only in myself but somebody else. That's everyday life as a wrestler. You have to be able to trust everyone and trust nobody at the same time, not only does one match depend on it, but your career and maybe even your life. But I do have to speak on the other side of a wrestler, the entertainer side. Wrestling isn't just about winning and losing matches, it's about entertaining the people. Wrestling fans of today aren't impressed my mere mat experience. Wrestling fans of today expect something new from you. New personas, new moves, new ideas. You have to be and entertainer as much as a wrestler. We are the actors, the rock stars, and the circus acts of the sports industry.
[On that, Rhemses hands the microphone back to Cole once again.]
Cole: Now, I'd like to say something myself about each of the guys sitting to my left. First off Braddah Moke. I feel that you have the size and power to stand up against any "big man" in the business today. Red, I feel that your speed and agility are far beyond my own and many others. Lewis, your inability to let anything bother you will be you greatest strength. Wolfgang, women love you, men hate you, that's almost enough alone to start off a great career. Archie and Ritchie, you two have the styles thats proven to wrestling from greats like Adrian Street, Superstar Billy Graham, and even Hulk Hogan. And to the last two graduates Jonny and JC, you guys have a determination to not do exactly what Rhemses said, entertain. I feel that if you guys take those talents you have and build them and add new ones as the roads lead you, you will all achieve exactly what you want in this business. My time with each guy in this room has been my greatest ever, and on that I close the doors of Real Deal Gym and School forever.
[On that Cole turns off the microphone and throws it down to the mat. Visually upset he exits the building through the back door. The others give a few encouraging words to each other and begin to scatter.]
