Simon

Terry
The scene opens to Simon Terry's longtime psycologist Jessica Chism's Fort Walton Florida office. Simon is laid back on the good doctor's leather chase lounge. Dr. Chism is sitting in her chair with her typical legal pad and silver cross pen.
Dr. Chism: Simon, it's nice to see you agian. You're really looking different since the last time I saw you.
Simon: I'm on a new muscle building plan that I picked up out of a Muscle and Fitness magazine. Mostly protein shakes and stuff like that.
Dr. Chism: Well, it's good to see you, but I'm sure there's a reason that you flew all the way to Florida just to talk to me.
Simon: It was much easier when you were in Memphis.
Dr. Chism: I got offered a better job, I couldn't pass that up.
Simon: I don't blame you.
Dr. Chism: So what is it? Have you been drinking again?
Simon: No, not at all.
Dr. Chism: Is it work?
Simon: No, I'm working really hard right now. I've got this new look and new gimmick going, and the fans are really loving it. I'm even booked in a match against a former NEW World Champion this week. I'm feeling more confident this week than I have in a long time.
Dr. Chism: Then it's got to be a woman. Is there problems between you and your new girlfriend?
Simon: No, not actually. She's great, and we really get along. We haven't had one fight since we've been seeing each other.
Dr. Chism: But getting along doesn't make a relationship. So tell me what the problem is. You know, you just don't want to say it.
Simon: It's just that one of my ex-girlfriends called me last week. Just out of the blue, she calls me up. If it wasn't so bad that she called, I was sitting at Courtney's house when she called me.
Dr. Chism: And how did Courtney feel about that?
Simon: She wasn't angry or anything, but she already has issues with trust. She thinks that I don't care about her as mach as she does me.
Dr. Chism: Do you?
Simon: I don't know.
Dr. Chism: So what did your ex have to talk about?
Simon: She just called and said that she can't move on with her life until she apoligized to me for hurting me the way she did. She said that since we split up, she hasn't dated or even been on a date with anyone else.
Dr. Chism: Sounds like she didn't just call to apologize.
Simon: She said that she was really hurt when she was rememinded about all the wedding plans. She even brought up the store calling her about her wedding dress. Her mom has been really sick since before Christmas, and she said that if she would have done things right, I would have been able to be by her side during that. She says that she felt alone through all of that.
Dr. Chism: So are you feeling sorry for her?
Simon: Not completely. The girl has feelings, but never shows any emotion to anyone. I was with the girl for eight months and never saw her cry. I just feel like it's as much my fault that we're not together anymore.
Dr. Chism: So you broke up with her?
Simon: Not really, it just happened really quick. We had decided to try and work things out, but I was already back on the scene. You know, going out with other girls, trying to enjoy myself. She felt like that was a shot against her.
Dr. Chism: Was it?
Simon: No. I cared about her to much to intentionally hurt her. That's just the way I move on from things. I have to heal my ego, and then my heart will soon follow, if you know what I mean.
Dr. Chism: I do. So what else?
Simon: Well, other than thinking about her like everday, I've been fine lately. I'm feeling really good about everything that Courtney and I have going. And now, since she called the other night, it's like starting over. I've just got alot running through my head. I don't want to lose Courtney, but I can't stop running all these questions about "what if?".
Dr. Chism: You need to sit down and talk with Courtney about what your feeling. If she cares about you enough, she'll help you make the right desicion. I've got an appointment coming in just a few minutes, are you going to be in Florida for a little while?
Simon: At least the rest of this week. I felt like I needed a break from everyone and everything.
Dr. Chism: Fine, come back and see me Monday, I've got a spot open at 9:00.
Simon: Cool.
Dr. Chism: I suggest that you take in the sun and enjoy your time here in Florida.
Simon: I'm thinking the same thing.
The scene closes to re-open at Simon's condo rental for the week. He's sitting in front of the television watching of all things, Disney Channel. Some old episode of "Boy Meet's World". At that time, the phone rings.
Simon: Hello...
......
Simon: Yes, that's fine. Tell them to find a home in the lobby for a while, I'm going to hit a shower and then I'll call for them to come up....
......
Simon: That's cool.
Simon hangs the phone up, shakes his head, stretches, and then walks into the bathroom to get ready to hit the showers.
The scene re-opens about 45 minutes later and Simon is sitting on the edge of the bed. A NEW camera crew has made their way into the room for a promo for Simon's big matchup against former NEW World Champion Riptide.
Simon: I'm not going to come on here and talk about how NEW or AJ has held me back. I'm not going to say that I'm finally getting the respect and matches I deserve in NEW. I'm going to be honest about it all. It's not that NEW wasn't giving me the matches I deserved, it was that I wasn't deserving the matches I wanted. Finally, I have shown CEO AJ and all of NEW that I'm willing to work hard to be on top. I'm not going to stur up backstage politics like Des. I'm not going to blame what I've done on others like Isaac Comelighty. I'm going to show the guys like AJ, NEW, Hardcore Jay, Shawn Stryker, and now Riptide come this Friday, that I'm going to become a main eventer. I'm going to put out main event work. As much or more work than I put out as a main eventer in Major League Wrestling.
I know that people are going to expect me to trashtalk against Riptide, but he helped make this company what it is today. He helped carry this fed through most of 98' and all of 99'. I'm just going to go into that matchup against him on Friday and give it all I've got. I'm going to show him that I deserve respect, just like I've shown Hardcore Jay, Will Storm, Destructo, and Pete Hardy in the past. I'm going into that matchup with a 11-0 record with NEW since my return. I don't plan on changing that this week with Riptide. So come into this ready to fight, Riptide. Because no matter how much I respect you, it all goes out the window when we face off at Firefights.
Now, I've got to talk about the tag team titles. As of right this minute, I've got alot going for me. I am going to admit that I asked AJ and Big Daddy Cool that I hold off on any tag team title defenses until after Lord of the Rings. So to anyone that a statement like that would pertain to, just leave a message for AJ, and I'll be glad to step into that ring with any team the very week after Lord of the Rings is over. I have discussed my plans with Rhemses Trekker and he understands that I am persuing a singles career in NEW as well as focusing on retaining those Unified Alliance Championships. The number one contenders in my eyes for those titles right now is the team of Hardcore Perfection. I feel that Hardcore Jay has his focus on Skull Flyer and the U.S. title right now.
Okay cut.
Simon stands up and adjusts his cap. The camera crew stop rolling and begins packing up their stuff.
Camera Man 1: That's it.
Simon: Yeah. I don't want to get longwinded with Riptide unless he gives me a little to work with before the match. I'm not just gonna' blow smoke about the guy.
Camera Man 1: But that's what your supposed to do.
Simon: It's not my style. If you guys want more trash talking you need to go back to Skull Flyer's house. He's blown enough hot air this week to fly a balloon around the world. As much stuff as Jay and I have going against each other right now, I'm really hoping to see him kick Skull's ass this Friday. Listening to him is like listening to a talentless Wicked Clown.
Camera Man 1: So you're actually pulling for Jay this week?
Simon: Yeah, I mean there's no love loss between Hardcore Perfection and Street Wise, but I've already grown really tired of Skull Flyer.
Camera Man 1: Wow.
Simon: I am strong believer that nobody should be able to walk in from another fed and demand or even deserve a title shot after three weeks. BUT, I can say that Skull Flyer is working his ass off for NEW. Gotta' give the guy props there.
Camera Man 1: You're way to easy on alot of these guys.
Simon: Well, I'm not looking to be friends with everyone in the company, but I give respect to the people that deserve it.
Camera Man 1: Like who?
Simon: Well, I've already said that Jay is one of NEW's greatest talents. Then there's good ol' SBK, Dan Sweeny, Pete Hardy.
On that the camera men finish packing up the stuff and leave Simon's room, giving him a chance to return to watching television and just enjoying his few days of vacation here in Florida.
Fade.
