UK Clinical Sites Information > London, UK
 General Info

The UK experience can be a wonderful opportunity for both students and SO's. Hospital training can be superb, and cultural experiences are a great way to expand your horizons. Although it is not recommended spending the majority of your time in England (due to difficulty obtaining a competitive residency) it can be a great experience. You may also be able to save a lot of money because housing and transportation can be very inexpensive (at least outside London). This allows even tight budgets to do some travelling on the main continent!

If you think you have any interest in going to the UK at any point in your clinical years, go to DES in St. Vincent for details and surveys about each hospital- these give a "real life picture" of the area and what to expect.

 Entertainment

If you are looking for night life, museums, or cultural events, the London area is the place to be. There is so much to do in London itself, you could spend every day of your clinical months there doing something different.

Home of some of the world's most famous museums, extraordinary shows, theater, and historical attractions, London is in the center of it all.

If you prefer to live somewhere quieter, but with the convenience of being close to London, choose a hospital located 30 minutes or so from London center.
