The day had finally arrived, my friend Stephanie and I were going to take the two hour drive to Orlando to see Lifehouse, Everclear, and Matchbox Twenty. I had been anticipating the show since the day the tickets went on sale, and I couldn't have been more excited. We go to the show about an hour and a half early, and hung out by the buses hoping to catch a glimpse of one of the band memebers. We had no such luck. We finally went inside, and took our seats. They weren't that great, but they could've been worse. Lifehouse came out first, and they played:
Cling and Clatter
Quasimodo
Sick Cycle Carousel
Everything
Hanging by a Moment
(in that order)
They were totally awesome, I was amazed at how well Jason sang live, and the band was great. We were totally pumped after Lifhouse's performance, and decided to walk around the venue alittle since were aren't really into Everclear. As we were walking it was really crowed so we decided to turn around ad go the opposite way, well as we were walking we saw a table with a group of people in front of it. I asked Stephanie what was going on, and she said it was probably the radio station giving stuff away. Well as we walked passes I looked over at the table, and who else did I see but JASON!! We freaked out, and ran to the line. When we got up there the whole band greeted us with a smile. We complimented them on the great performance, and they all said thanks. We told them we were going to see them the next night in Tampa, and told them that they should play Trying. Jason said, "We don't remember how to play that one." and then they said they would see what they could do. Let me just tell you how adorable, and sweet they all are in person. They are so gracious to all of their fans. Well, we were totally ecstatic from meeting them and went skipping and jumping around the venue. (I'm sure we looked like idiots) Matchbox Twenty was also totally awesome, and even though we had to get our seats changed because of some nasty girls throwing ice, the whole show rocked. We didn't get home till about 3:30 in the morning and we both didn't get a wink of sleep. I mean who could sleep.. We had just met LIFEHOUSE, and we were going to do it all again the next night! The excitment was too much to handle, and sleep was totally impossible.
The next night was Sunday, and Stephanie and I were going to the concert with two other friends Jenn, and Ashley. We got to Tampa early, and again waited by the busses. We got a small glimpse of Jason, but he didn't come over at all. The security guard for Matchbox Twenty was giving us a hard time, and making fun of our poster for Lifehouse. We finally decided that no one was going to come out and that we should head inside so we didn't miss a second of Lifehouse's performance. Our seats were a little better the second night, and Steph and I were freaking out cause we knew that in less then an hour we were going to get the chance to meet Lifehouse again! They didn't play Trying which was a little disapointing (we later gave them a hard time about it). We bought t-shirts for the guys to sign, and I brought a flyer for my website to show them. When we got up there, it seemed that we had more to say then we had time to say it. I got my t-shirt signed by all the guys, as well as their birthdays, and a picture of Jason and Stuart with my flyer. We asked them why they didn't play trying and they unanoumously pointed at their manager, and said it was his fault. It was totally adorable! Sergio, and Rick seemed really quiet, and Jason was just totally sweet, Stuart was awesome. The security guard made me leave cause there was such a big line, and I didn't get Stuart's birthday, which I wanted really bad. So, when he wasn't talking to anyone or signing an autograph, I screamed, "Stuart, when's your birthday" at first he didn't understand what I said, so I said it again, and he waved me over to him. I ran over, and was being shoved back by the guard. He was all "You can't be here." and I was like. "Well, he called me over!" Then I just ignored him, and watched Stuart write down his birthday, he was totally awesome! We stayed there till they left and Stephanie snapped as many shots of Jason as she could get. I tried stealing the camera from her to get some shots of Stuart, but I only got a couple. We couldn't get any of Rick, and Sergio from where we were standing, and the ones we did get didn't come out. As they got up to leave we asked Stuart if we could get a picture with him, and he stopped to take it with us but some nasty guard litterally pushed him away. He said he would come back down to take some pictures with us. We waited for about 10 minutes, in which time we had fun sitting in the chairs they were recently occupying. (I know I know, we're corny, but hey, it was fun) We couldn't stay any longer cause we were going to miss Matchbox Twenty so we went upstairs to our seat, and never got to get a picture with Stuart. Oh well. They show still rocked, and we did get to meet the TWO nights in a row.. what more could you ask for?! I have never had some much fun in one weekend in my life. If you ever get the chance to go see Lifehouse in concert TAKE IT!!!
