When Lifehouse was touring with Fuel I saw them at the Webster Theater in Hartford, CT with some friends. I had just bought their CD and absolutely loved it, and being a huge fan of Fuel - we of coourse had a great time. We decided to duck out like 10 mins. early and when we got outside, Jason and the boys were standing right there. He and I talked about his home-schooling and music and stuff, and he signed a CD for me, my ticket stub, and I got a few pictures with him. It was pretty cool. He's such a nice guy!!

I was so psyched to be seing Lifehouse two days in a row in concert. Matchbox Twenty and Everclear are cool but the main reason I was going was to see
Lifehouse. Just for a little background info, I
(Andrea) am 19 and I went with Kyra who is 16. I
picked Kyra up from school on February 28th and we
were on our way to Milwaukee. When we got to the US
Cellular Arena we decided to look around to see where
the tour buses were because after the concert we were
going to see if we could meet Lifehouse there.
When we got inside we found our seats. They were on
the 4th level, 4th to last row. But we were right off
the side of the stage so it could have been worse.
Lifehouse performed first, of course. They were so
awesome but the crowd sucked. Only about 1/4 of the
poeple were actually there and no one even stood up.
When they first came out I stood up and screamed and
everyone just looked at me like I was weird. And then
they yelled at me to sit down! Anyway, here are the
songs they played (not in this order, though):
- Cling And Clatter
- Sick Cycle Carousel
- Hanging By A Moment
- Somebody Else’s Song
- Quasimodo
I sometimes try to remember what the band is wearing
at concerts but all I can remember now is that Jason
was wearing a yellow shirt with a black 87 on it and
the black shoes he is wearing in the Hanging By A
Moment video. Not that that matters any...After the
concert we went out back where the buses were and
there were probably about 10 people there. But they
were all waiting for Matchbox Twenty.
Nothing was really happening when all of a sudden
Jason walked out of the building and started heading
towards their bus. No one even knew who he was and I
yelled, "JASON!" and he turned around and waved at me.
I was jumping all over and screaming. (Why do I make
such an idiot out of myself sometimes?) Just imagine
how mad I was when I later found out that Jason had
actually come over by the fans RIGHT after I had left!
So now it's the next day and Kyra and I are on our way
to their concert in our hometown of Oshkosh,
Wisconsin. It was way too hard to sleep the night
before because we had Meet & Greets. (And, no, sorry,
I'm not going to say how we got them. It's between us
and Lifehouse. :) When we got to the Kolf Arena we
went to the Will-Call window to pick up our guest
tickets and Meet & Greets when all of a sudden Rick
just walks by. He was just standing about 4 feet away
from us talking to some security guy. I don't know
why, but I was too scared to go talk to him. It was
probably shock!
The concert started and Lifehouse rocked, of course.
The only thing that sucked was the fact that I
couldn't breathe. I started out up front but before
the concert even started, people were moshing. How
lame is that? That is how boring my little hick-town
city is. People think they're cool moshing before
there's any music. So by the time Lifehouse came out
I had moved back a lot. The view was really bad and
my pictures didn't turn out too well. They sang the
following songs (not in this order):
- Hanging By A Moment
- Sick Cycle Carousel
- Unknown
- Somebody’s Else’s Song
- Only One
- Cling And Clatter
- Quasimodo
- Somewhere In Between
- Song I didn’t know (It's not on No Name Face and I
haven't heard the Blyss demos yet.)
- A new song
My favorite song live would have to be Cling And
Clatter. They opened with it at both concerts and it
just sounds really awesome!
The Meet & Greet was right after Lifehouse's
performance and we were all supposed to meet in this
certain area to the right of the stage. None of us
knew what was going on when all of a sudden Jason,
Stuart, Sergio, and Rick just popped out from behind a
curtain and were escorted to the Meet & Greet area.
They just walked right past us. Of course, I just
stood there in shock!
The Meet & Greet was actually more of an autograph
signing. Anyone could go over to the table and get an
autograph, even if they didn't have a pass, but no one
really knew they were over there. The table was
really crowded and I went over to Jason's side first.
He was just kind of sitting there between autographs
so I stuck my hand out and said his name and
introduced myself. Then he signed my CD cover and
passed it down to Stuart. I talked to Jason for a
little while but didn't talk to the other guys too
much because it was so crowded.
After we met them we didn't want to leave that little
area. LIFEHOUSE was RIGHT by us and how often is this
going to happen? So we stood my the merchandise stand
and just kind of watched them, from what we could see.
After about 5 minutes they got up and walked back
across the room behind the curtain again. The only
thing I wasn't happy about is that we couldn't get a
picture inside because cameras weren't allowed and
security was right there. Although I was able to
sneak mine in and did have it with me.
Kyra and I finally decided to skip Everclear's
performance (Matchbox Twenty wasn't playing here),
since we saw them the night before anyway. We went
out to the back of the building where the tour buses
were to wait for Lifehosue to get our picture. After
waiting in the freezing cold, wearing only a
sweatshirt, for about 45 minutes, the guys finally
came out. Stuart wasn't with them, though. We yelled
for them and they stopped and we held our cameras up
and went over by them. Jason's wife was also there
but she went right on the bus. She's really pretty!
I asked them if we could take a picture because I
really wanted one and we couldn’t take them inside.
So they said sure and we all just kind of stood there
not knowing what to do. It was so funny. Rick was
like, “Where should I go?” And at first Jason was
kneeling down in front and then he stood up and said,
“We’re so bad at this. I never know what to do for
these.” Then he walked over to my right side and put
his arm around me and I put mine around him. :) Then
we thanked them and said bye.
The night was, by far, the best night of my life. I
didn't want it to end! The only regret I have is
never complimenting them on their music. WHAT A
MORON! I said stuff like, "You guys are awesome." I
guess everything just happened so quickly I just
forgot to say how much I love Jason's songwriting and
how much their music means to me. I was just in a
daze or something. But that's the whole story and if
anyone has any questions (besides 'How did you get the
Meet & Greets?') you can email me at [email protected].

I saw their show at the Patriot Center in DC and they were so good. Jason
has great stage presence - he looks so comfortable. Anyway, I went down by
the buses after the show and they came out to sign autographs and talk to
their fans. I had all three guys sign my shirt - Rick said I was ruining a
perfectly good shirt, but I told him it wasn't perfect until all of them
signed it. He asked me how I was going to wash it and I said easy: dry
clean! They were so humble - it was freezing cold outside and they stood
there and talked to everyone for about half and hour. I got a hug from
Jason - he is so adorable! When he was going back inside, he turned and
asked if everyone wanted Rob from matchbox twenty to come out and we all
yelled yes. Then he looked right at me and asked if I wanted Adam and Paul
and everyone else. Of course I said yes, and he pointed at me and said he
was going to ask them just for me - I thought I was going to melt into the
grass. They are officially my favorite band!

Last night I went to the Lifehouse, Everclear, Matchbox20 show at
Madison Square Garden (I live in NJ), and I met Lifehouse with three of my
friends and we got their autographs, it was awesome, their set was great and
they sounded amazing. We originally went to the show to see them but
Matchbox20 was goo too.

I have a story to tell about Lifehouse and my friend Nicole and I. Our radio station 101.5 the Zone was having a mini concert at Arizona Mills Mall, in the food court. We were trying yo get our moms to let us skip school to go down there and see them and try to get to meet them. They said No! But we went anyway, they gave in.We drove down there at 7:30am, it was a morning thing. When we got there we parked and started running to the door to get in and there are two doors to get in to the food court we came in the south doors and at the same time we came in Jason, Diff, sergio, and Stuart walked in the north doors. I got so nerves when I saw them. So anyway we keeped walking into the mall. Then they all crossed over us to get away from the crowd. Then they walked to the to sing some of their songs. They sand Hanging By A Moment and Somebody Else's Song. Then After that they said they were going to sing stuff for everyone. There were so many people there but Nicole and I waited in line for about 2 hours and we finally met them and got a poster signed and I got my journal signed too. That was the best day of my life!

I have a boyfriend who just loves Matchbox 20. (yes this story is
about Lifehouse) So for a gift I said I woudl go t the concert for with him
at the Target center ( Mineapolis MN )for the concert that opened their new
tour. Well, we went not kowing was playig with them. Their was this big
banner over the stage that said Lifehouse and there werent many people there
yet. ( later i found out that the banner was the CD cover ) Eventually they
came on stage and thanked everyone for coming to see them and everything and
when they started playig I fell in love. I thought about THEIR music and
stuff the whole concert and thought they were the best part of hte whole
night. Better than Everclear and Matchbox 20.
I know they just got off tour with Pearl Jam but I still thought it
was so cool when I heard the song "Hanging on a Moment" on the radio a few
weeks later. I immediately went out and got the CD and listen to it all
the time.
Another cool thing is that I read Jason Wade's interview through a
link and he said two things I can totally relate to . One is that he lived
in Washington. That is so cool because I was born in Seattle and was adopted
into a family in Mn. Another was that he liked to go to Barned and Noble adn
watch people. I DO THAT TOO!!! Barnes and Noble is the onyl book
storearound there so I go, get a coffe from STARBUCKS in there and pick up a
classic like Jane Eyre or The Bell Jar and never get very far because I start
to watch people and what they pick up. Anyways, you said you wanted to get
emails on peoples incounters with Lifehouse and this was mine. They are my
favorite band and I cant wait to see them on MTV and a big name forever.
