Als embarass the Argos in a repeat performance

(Jul 21) - JOSEPH LAVOIE- Last week the Montreal Alouettes came to Toronto and trampled over the Argos 45-6 leaving the Argos to rebuild before facing off against the Als this week in Montreal.

Not much rebuilding was done.

Mike Pringle kept the sold-out crowd happy the whole night as he accumulated 151 rushing yards putting him in second spot for all-time rushing yards. Pringle has a total of 10,916 yards which surpasses  Eskimos legend Johnny Bright.

"It's very special to get it and the best thing was that I did it at home in Montreal and that my family was here," said Pringle. "It's a great honour, but I really have my receivers to thank tonight. They were the ones blocking me downfield, allowing me to get this far."

This was not the only milestone that Pringle achieved to secure Montreal's win last night. Mike had a 10-yard pass reception giving him a career total of 13,310 yards from scrimmage. He surpassed Roughrider Ray Elgaard for third place in career scrimmage yards.

Although this game invloved two teams, there isn't much to talk about except for Pringle. The Argonauts performed poorly just like last week and Montreal dominated the entire game.

The Argos could only collect 187 yards of offence and were outpassed 264 yards to 53.

Anthony Calvillo completed touchdown passes to Winston October and Alfonzo Browning.
