Eskimos win their fourth straight.

(Aug 12) - JOSEPH LAVOIE-   Last night the Montreal Alouettes came in to Edmonton unbeaten and were looking to extend their record to 6-0. THe Eskimos were also looking to extend a streak of their own, by winning their fourth straight game.


The Eskimos were not going to be trampled in front of 31, 472 excited fans at Commonwealth Stadium as they defeated th Als 29-7

Edmonton played good defense as they  prevented Mike Pringle from making his way to the end-zone. They used an old-fashion strategy: Gang Tackle. As a

result Pringle suffered what is suspected to be a separated shoulder.

Edmonton's Mark Nohra made a splash last night  as he rushed for 125 yards after missing the three previous games due to a back injury.

Eskimos kicker Sean Flemming had two field goals, one form the 32, the other from the 13-yard line.

Terry Baker was the only player to score for the Alouettes as he scored two field goals and one single.

Anthony Calvillo had to be replaced by Stanly Jackson who was sacked and had an interception.
