Let's talk about Scrapbooking
Hey! I'm Yvette Baldwin. I love creating my own albums because it is a unique way to preserve my family's history.     It's also a hobby that I can share with all four children in our family.  The kids love to see themselves, lol.
Current  Projects: Featured Tip:
*Don't put off scrapbooking, because then its not a hobby... it's a chore.
*It helps if you can spread out.

Daughter's Baby Book:
Fifteen yr old daughter's baby book was damaged in flood water so scrapbooking a new one, with as much of the old one as possible.  She is copying the writing and cropping the pictures from the original album.  She is also putting in new pictures as she goes.

Grandpa's WWII :
This has been more difficult.  Grandpa has Alzheimer's and there is no way to know time frames.  Another challenge is that the materials are so old and fragile.  I am hesitant to crop the pictures.  I got some really neat WWII & Army stickers to dress up the pages and have been using silver & gold pens to copy the writing from the backs of the pictures.  I use the names and the writing to frame the pictures since I can't crop as much.

Grandpa's family:
My great-aunt made a lovely book, but used regular tape.  I am itching to re-do it into a scrapbook.  I haven't touched any of my scrapbooks in about a year so this one will probably come last, since it is organized and safe.

Son's Baby Book:
Second child and he realized he didn't have a book.  Well he did, but it was never really filled out.  I was chasing his sister who had learned to walk, lol.  I found a beautiful boys book with little knit booties on the front.  It was a little expensive, even on sale.  But least I could do, to make up for it.  Hmm... now to go back 13 years of memories...

Japan Memories:
Last but not least.  I really meant to do it while I was in Japan.  I saved every little scrap of paper and receipt, even though I didn't and still don't know what most of it says.
