camp near hachou-no-yu on saturday then over to marunuma lake on a 4 1/2 hour hike through natural forest
on rarely used path.the hotel kindly gave us all a free lift to yumoto onsen to catch the bus.
autumn colours arent so good this year...terrible actually,thats life.
the river moved this  year,first time in 6 years,taking out the bank next to the path and the sandy place i  camped on for 6 years.so we made a bridge over to an island in the river using a 12m log (tree), much to the amusement of people passing by.the lodge was full but at dinner time the bath was empty! except  for us.case of  japanese culture
"do everything together".
7 people on the trip (1 turned up on sunday morning-got lost at the bus stop) .it was a   good one .....   :-)
