Jefferson Freeman Willey, age 76, of Farwell died on Saturday, May 22, 2004 at the Central Michigan Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. Freeman was born on April 13, 1928 in Farwell the son of Jefferson and Rachel (Mayo) Willey.

Freeman is survived by his children Daniel and Jenny Willey of Midland, Ross and Geri Ferrenburg of Farwell, Rob and Cheryl Willey of Oil City, David Abbott of Nebraska, Tamara Willey and Ed Towns of Mt. Pleasant, Rebecca Seleska-Willey of Farwell, Jeffery Willey of Holland and Eric Willey of Tennessee; 21 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers Edward and Camilla and Joseph and Beverly of Farwell; along with many other relatives and friends He is preceded in death by his parents and his son Steve.

Services for Freeman were held on Sunday, May 23, 2004 from the Coker Funeral Home of Farwell.

Rachel Mae Willey, 92, of Farwell, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, at the Northwoods Nursing Center in Farwell.

She was born the daughter of Charles and Hattie (Crow) Mayo, on April 25, 1907 in West Olive, Michigan.

She married Jefferson Willey in 1927, in Farwell, and he preceded her in death in 1974.

Mrs. Willey had retired as the Clare Elementary School Librarian. She was a member of the Farwell Rebekah Lodge and the Farwell Church of Christ.

Survivors include her three sons: Jefferson F. Willey of Rosebush, Edward and Camilla Willey and Joseph and Beverly Willey, all of Farwell, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grand children.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven and four siblings.

Funeral Services were held Friday, September 24 at l:30 pm from the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare, with Pastor Donald Mainprize officiating. Burial was in the Surrey Twp. Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Farwell Church of Christ or to Northwoods Nursing Center.

Steven E. Willey, a life resident of the area, died Wednesday unepectedly at his Vernon Township home.

Funeral Services for MR. Willey will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare. The Rev. Tom Chamberlind will officiate and burial will take place in Surrey Township Cemetery.

Mr. Willey was born Oct. 15, 1954 in Isabella County. He was the son of Jefferson Willey and Jane (Stephens) Cascarelli. He attended the Mount Pleasant School System.

Mr. Willey was married to Julie Archey in 1976 in Isabella County. He was employed as a maintenance man for various area farmers. Survivors include his wife, Julie; one daughter, Christie; his father, Jefferson Willey of Farwell; and his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cascarelli of Mount Pleasant.

Other survivors include two brothers, Dan of Midland and Jeffrey of Farwell; one step-brother, Andy Cascarelli; two sisters, Mrs. Cheryl Cascatt of California, and Tamara Willey of Farwell; and one step-sister, Julie Cascarelli of Mount Pleasant.

Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday.
