Funeral for J. W. Sisco
James Walter Sisco, 85, a former Barryton resident, died Friday at teh home of his daugher in Flint. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Barryton Church of God with Elder Arthur Du Rose officiating. The burial will be in North Brinton Cemetery.
Surviving are: four sons, Walter of Barryton, Clifford and Clarence of Flint, Wilbur of Lansing; five daughters, Mrs. Dolly Peacock of Davison, Mrs. Dimple Delong of Barryton, Mrs. Hazel Delong and Mrs. Agnes Warner of Flint and Mrs. Ethelyn Russell of Lansing; two brothers, Orie, Barryton and Frank, Brinton; several grandchildren. Mr. Sisco's wife, Lillian, passed away 10 years ago.

John Sisco
Funeral services for John E. Sisco will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Stinson Funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
Mr. Sisco, 74, died this morning at Community hospital after a short illness.
Born Jan. 1, 1880 in Maryland, Mr. Sisco had been a resident of the community the past 40 years. He was employed with the maintenance department at Central Michigan College for many years before retiring several years ago.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas and John of Monroe; three brothers, Frank and Orie of Brinton and James of Flint, and six grandchildren.

Old Mr. Sisco died Monday and was laid to rest Thursday in the Brinton Cemetery, his six sons acted as pallbearers, he leaves wife, six sons and two daughters to mourn and other relatives.(Published in Mt. Pleasant Tims March 7, 1918)

Mamie May Sisco, 8891 E. Remus Road, Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday at home. She was 77.
Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Crittenden-Hansen Funeral Home, Remus, the Rev. Lloyd Jury officiating. Burial will be at the North Brinton Cemetery in Barryton. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday and Friday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Mrs. Sisco was born April 23, 1903 in Sherman Townwhip, Isabella County. She is survived by her husband, Roy; three sons, Wendall and Kenneth, both of Mt. Pleasant; Virl, Lansing; one foster daughter Rona Jean Dutcher of Weidman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Nelson, Irie, and Harvey. Mrs. L. Sisco Dies Thursday
Mrs. Lizzie Sisco, a lifelong resident of Isabella County, died Thursday at the age of 85, at Kelsey Memorial Hospital, Lakeview. She was a resident of Coldwater Township, Rt. 1. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Daggett Funeral Home, Barryton, with Rev. Wayne Lyon officiating.
Mrs. Sisco is survived by three sons, Ray, Virgil and Wayne, all of Rt. 1, Lake; five daughters, Mrs. Mabel Cummings, Mrs. Emma Cummings and Mrs. Tessie Pridgeon, all of Barryton, Mrs. Beulah Loomis, Lansing and Mrs. Gertrude Sperry, Weidman; a brother, Ed Darnell, Remus; 32 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Orie Sisco Dead at 83 Orie Sisco, 83, Rural Route 1, Lake, Died at his home where he had lived for 75 years yesterday. He was born April 29, 1876, in Maryland and came to Lake with his parents when he was only eight years old. He had lived on the same farm all his life.
Funeral services will be tomorrow, Friday, at 1 p.m. at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton. Rev. H. L. Greiser will officiate. Burial will be in the North Brinton Cemetery.
A member of the Church of God in Barryton, Mr. Sisco is survived by his wife, Margaret, three sons, five daughters, one brother, 32 grandchildren and 66 great grandchildren.
His sons are Virgil and Wayne, both of Lake, and Roy of Weidman. His daughters are Mable Cummings, Emma Cummings, Tessie Pridgeon, all of Barryton, Beulah Loomis, of Lansing and Gertrude Sperry of Weidman. His brother is Frank Sisco, of Brinton.

Roy Sisco, 8891 E. Remus Road, Mt. Pleasant, died at his home Monday he was 80. Services are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Crittenden-Hansen Funeral Home in Remus. Interment will be at the North Brinton Cemetery in Barryton. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Mr. Sisco was born June 5, 1899 in Michigan. He was a retired carpenter. He is survived by three sons Wendell and Kenneth both of Mt. Pleasant, and Virl of Lansing; and one foster daughter, Rona Jean Dutcher of Weidman. Also surviving are two brothers Wayne and Virgil, both of Lake; three sister, Gertrude Sperry of Weidman, Beulah Loomis of Lansing, and Mabel Cummings of Barryton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Sisco's wife preceded him in death on April 23.

Sarah Margaret Sisco, wife of John Sisco, 1032 South Franklin street, died Monday at Central Michigan Community hospital. She had been ill for the past two months.
Mrs. Sisco was born Nov. 14, 1883, in Canada. She was well known in Mt. Pleasant where she lived for many years.
Surviving is her husband, John, and two sons, Thomas of Monroe, and John of Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral Services will be held from the Stinson Funeral Home, Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Vincer officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Funeral Services for Tillie Sisco daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Sisco of S. Franklin Street, were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Sisco home, with interment in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Miss Sisco had been ill for about 3 and a half years and had gone to Howell in the hopes of improving her health. She passed away Thursday evening in the Ann Arbor Hospital.

Virgil A.D. Sisco Dec. 13, 1919 - Aug. 11, 2002 Virgil A.D. Sisco, 82, of Lake, went to Heaven on Aug. 11, 2002. He was born Dec. 13, 1919, in Isabella County to Orie and Elizabeth (Darnell) Sisco.
He married Emma Gene Hillier March 26, 1945, in Toledo. Virgil attended Barryton Church of God for 45 years and taught Sunday School for many years.
He was a drill sergeant during World War II for four years in the United States Army and retired from the Mt. Pleasant Center in 1981. Besides loving his children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, (bow) hunting, storytelling and writing poems.
Virgil is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Emma; three children, Raymond (Bonnie) Sisco, Barb (Rodney) Simmer and Allen (Tami) Sisco, all of Lake; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Gertrude Sperry of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will take place at 11a.m. Wednesday at the Barryton Church of God with Pastor John Mellish officiating. Graveside service will be at North Brinton Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton today from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Wayne Myrl Sisco July 12, 1924 - July 10, 2002 Wayne Myrl Sisco, 77, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, July 1-, 2002, at Tendercare in Mt. Pleasant with his family by his side.
A Funeral Service for Wayne will be held on Sunday, July 14, at 2 p.m. from Clark Funeral Chapel with Pastor Marvin Eldridge officiating. Interment will follow in North Brinton Cemetery.
The family will receive friend on Friday, July 12, from 7 until 9 p.m. at Clark Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Tendercare of Mt. Pleasant or a church of donor's choice. Envelopes will be available at the Clark Funeral Chapel.
Wayne was born July 12, 1924 in Isabella County, th son of Orie and Margaret (Darnell) Sisco. He married Lilah Terry on January 18, 1946, in Mecosta Co., they celebrated their 56th anniversary this year. Wayne was the Deputy Sheriff retiring after 24 years of service. He worked as a groundkeeper at the State Home Regional Center. Wayne served in WWII as a Marine, Private 1st Class. He was a member of the Weidman V.F.W. and F.O.P. (Fraternal Order of Police).
Wayne is survived by his wife Lilah Sisco of Lake; two daughters, Julie Lassen of Lake and Arlene (Douglas) Elias of Beal CIty; two sons, David Sr. (Colleen) Sisco of Lake and Robert (Susan) Sisco of Weidman; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother Virgil (Emma) Sisco of Lake; a sister Gertrude Sperry of Mt. Pleasant.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and four sisters.

Mr. Sisco is survived by two sons, Larry of Mt. Pleasant and Terry of California; two brothers, Kenneth of Mt. Pleasant and Virl of Lansing; a sister, Rona Jean Dutcher of Weidman; and four grandchildren.
