Lorraine Ann Kennedy, age 56, passed away Thursday, Dec. 8, 1999 at the Covenant Hospital in Saginaw Mich.

Funeral Services will be held on Snday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m. from the Chippewa Indian United Methodist Church with Rev. Owen Whitepigeon, Rev. Carla Sineway, and Rev. Richard Boyce officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery, Rosebush.

The family of Lorraine will receive friends at the Clark Funeral Chapel on Friday, Dec. 10, from 1-9 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 11, from 1-5 p.m. There will also be visitation after 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Chippewa Indian United Methodist Church.

Lorraine was born on Dec. 1, 1943 in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of George and Emma (Peters) Slater. She married Bill Kennedy on August 27, 1994, in Mt. Pleasant. Lorraine attended the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal College, pursuing an interest in Tribal and judicial law. She was a member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Bill of Mt. Pleasant; her children, Mary Marrow of Mt. Pleasant, Tina Gorajewski of Montclair, Cal., Carrie Farr (Richard) of Mt. Pleasant, Kelly David of Mt. Pleasant, Maynard Sharp (Rachel) of Mt. Pleasant; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; her brothers; Gerald D. Slater (Cheryl) of Lake, Mich., her sisters, Helen Reed (L.E.) of Oil City, Mich, Sandra Boyce (Richard) of MT. Pleasant, Bonnie Cantu (Fred) of Mt. Pleasant, Colleen Sisco (Dave Sr.) of Weidman, Sharon Matthews (Ralph) of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews.
