Sidney Hildebrandt

Funeral Services were held Monday January 18, at Lewiston Congregational Church, for Sidney Hildebrandt, 61, of Avery Lake, Atlanta who died suddenly at his home Friday, January 15. Rev. Oliver Weber officiated and interment was in Lewiston Cemetery.

Born September 19, 1909 in Riverdale, Michigan he had lived at Avery Lake Since 1961 following his retirement as chief of detectives of the Lansing Police Dept. At the time of his death he was employed at Essex International, Atlanta Division. He was a member of the Metropolitan Club in Lansing and Fraternal Order of Police of Lansing and had served on the Lewiston Board of Education.

Surviving are his wife, Helen; a son Duane of Lansing; nine daughters, Mrs. Ernst Hautter (Darlene) Grand Ledge; Mrs. Tommy Freeman (Carrie) and Mrs. William Sullivan (Helen) of Pontiac, Katherine Hildebrandt, Sarah Jean, Floydean, Sherry, Lucinda and Donna Ecker all at home; 10 grandchildren; a brother Charles of Farwell and a sister Mrs. Albert Lee of Holt.

Hildebrandt, Charles H.- Age 91 of Farwell, died March 26, 1996 in Clare.

He was born August 20, 1904, near Vestaburg. He married Mary Green in 1926, she preceded him in death on December 15, 1992. He moved to Farwell in 1965 after retiring from General Motors-Chevrolet in Flint.

Mr. Hildebrandt is survived by 2 sons, Darrell of Antioch, CA, Bryan of Cadillac; daughter, Mrs. Bettie Doyle of Clare; 15 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 32 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 3 daughters, twins Mary and Marion, and Wanda Rodabaugh; 2 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; 5 brothers, Sherman, Francis, Sidney, Elmer and John; sister Leona Lee and Mandy Robart.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 1996 from the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare. Burial will be in the Surrey Twp. Cemetery in Farwell. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

(Note: Surname on headstone is Hildebrant (which he purchased several years before death), Military paper has name spelled Hilderbrant (signed by grandpa that way); Death certificate of his daughter Bettie has surname as Hildebrandt.)



Darrell Hildebrant Born March 24, 1935 in Flint, MI. Darrell was surrounded by his family and friends at his departure at home on November 6, 2005.

His surviving family includes his wife, Kim; Denise, Rusty, Elisa, Kristopher, Jesse Michael, Jr., Perry, Cathy, Connie; nieces; nephews; close friends; former wife, Millie; and the Cabihi family.

He was predeceased by his parents, sisters and nephew.

Darrell married MaryAnn Price in 1955 and together they had three children and three grandsons. Darrell joined the Air Force in 1953. He was a dedicated drywall tradesman since 1957. His son, Rusty, and grandson, Kristopher, continue in the trade, along with son-in-law, Val Nieto, Jr.

Services will be held at Higgins Mortuary, 1310 A St. in Antioch on Saturday, November 12, at 1:00pm. Gathering to follow at his daughter`s home in Antioch.

Hildebrandt, Mary M.- Age 82 of Farwell and formerly of Flint, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 1992 in the Mid Michigan Regional Center at Clare, MI.

She was born on November 10, 1910 in Clare Co, Michigan, the daughter of Christopher & Josephine (Girard) Green. She married Charles Hildebrandt in 1926 at Saginaw, MI.

Mrs. Hildebrandt worked for many years as an Elevator Operator at Hurley Hospital. She and her husband moved to Farwell in 1963 from Flint and are members of the Clare Church of God.

She is survived by: her husband, Charles; 2 sons, Darrell Hildebrandt of Antioch, CA, Bryan Hildebrandt of Cadillac; a daughter Bettie Doyle of Clare; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a brother Kenneth Green; 4 sisters, Lillian Wilkerson, Winnie Ketchum, Iris Brown, and Dora Arnold, all of Farwell, MI.

She was predeceased by a brother, Pete Green.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 18, 1992 at 1 p.m. in the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home in Clare, MI, with Rev. Max Rauschenberger adn Rev. Harold Owens officiating. Burial will be in Surrey Twp. Cemetery at Farwell, MI. Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services.
