Chrystal Alta Burgess, 88, of Peoria, AZ, formerly of Mt. Pleasant died, died at Hospice Thunder Bird in Glendale, AZ.

Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.

Chrystal was born Nov. 4, 1911 in Clare County the daughter of George and Cora (Bailey) Slater. She married Floyd J. Burgess on Oct. 21, 1936.

Chrystal was a resident of the area most of her life and then six and half years in Peoria, AZ with her daughter Joyce Cox.

She was a district manager fro Shopper Shows, Inc. and worked at Jarrett the Jeweler for 11 years. She was a former Eastern Star member and a Red Cross volunteer during World War II.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce M. Cox of Peoria; step sons, Kenneth Burgess of Tenn. And Dale Burgess of Ann Arbor; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; sisters, Elaine Gault of Flushing, Mich. And Alice Shultz of Orlando, FL.

She was preceded in death by husband, Larry; step daughter, Phyllis; brothers, George and Ellsworth Slater.
