Allan L. Blodgett, age 71 of Goodrich formerly of the Barryton area passed away Friday, December 16, 2005 at his home with his family at his side. He was born November 1, 1934 in Sherman Township, Isabella County, Michigan to Earl and Mryle (Strong) Blodgett. he grew up in Weidman and married Margaret Sperry on December 15, 1951. Mr.. and Mrs. Blodgett raised their family in Weidman, Houghton Lake and Flint. They moved to Goodrich after Allan retired from GM (Fisher Body, currently BOC). Allan loved to travel and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Margaret Blodgett of Goodrich; six children and their spouses, Sherry (Duane) King of Flint, Larry (Sue) Blodgett of N.C., Dale (Sharon) Blodgett of Goodrich, Dan (Cindy) Blodgett of Lake, Becky (Kelsey) Pitts of FL, Pat (George) parker of Goodrich; brother, Joe Blodgett; two sisters, Louise Helmer and Carol Johnson; 13 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; numerous niece, nephews, cousins and his loyal companion Pepper. Besides his parents Allan was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and a daughter-in-law, Sandra Rose Blodgett. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice. Donation envelopes will be available at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton where the family will greet friends, Sunday, December 18 from 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Arnold officiating. Interment will be at North Brinton Cemetery in Lake.

Bertha "Beth" Blodgett, age 82, of Markey Township, Houghton Lake passed away Dec. 22, 2003 in Houghton Lake, MI.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 27th at 11:00 a.m. from the Christler Funeral Home in Houghton Lake. Interment will take place in the Crestview Cemetery, Markey Twp, Roscommon County.

Beth was born Sep. 20, 1921 in Remus to William and Alice (Elliott) Terry. She married Francis L. Blodgett on May 7, 1938 in Isabella County. He preceded her in death in 1981.

She was the former Assistant Manager of Roscommon County Airport. She was a lifetime member of Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by two sons, Terry (Norma) Blodgett of Houghton Lake and Don Blodgett of Oregon; three daughters, Helen (Eugene) Root of Remus, Alice (J.R.) Warren of Arizona, Kathy (Larry) Sopscak of Roscommon; eight grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Doris Himebaugh of Houghton Lake, Freida White of Oregon, Lila Sisco of Lake, Leila Puckett of Union City.

Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Francis; daughter, Janet Pianga in 2003; two brothers, Virgil Terry and Marty Terry; one sister, Dortha Terry.
