Alice Lenor Terry of Battle Road in Lake, died Tuesday at Central Michigan Community Hospital. She was 79. Services are set for 1 p.m. Friday at the Stinson-Helms Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Weidman, with the Reverend Marvin Eldridge of Weidman Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home today and Thursday from 1-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Mrs. Terry was born on Sept. 24, 1900, in Isabella County's Sherman Township. She lived in the Mt. Pleasant area 55 years before relocating in Arizona and California and then returning to Michigan. Mrs. Terry worked for many years in school cafeterias.
She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Francis (Bertha) Blodgett and Mrs. Alton (Doris) Himebaugh, both of Houghton Lake, Mrs. Francis (Freda) White of Lansing, Mrs. Wayne (Lilah) Sisco of Lake, Dr. George (Betty) Siek of Fresno, Calif., and Leila Smith of Lansing. Also surviving are two sons, Virgil Terry of Sweethome, Ore. and Martin Terry of Tucson, Ariz.; one brother Robert Elliott of Grand Rapids; 28 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Terry was preceded in death by her husband, William, on Aug. 25, 1957; and one daughter Dortha on Aug. 21, 1941.

Safford Terry dies in Hospital after illness Barryton - Safford Terry, 71, of Rt. 1 of Barryton, died Friday in Kelsey Memorial Hospital in Lakeview, following a long illness.
Mr. Terry was born December 23, 1895 in Isabella County and was a life-time resident. He was engaged in farming before his illness.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with Rev. Thomas Tarrant officiating. Burial will be in the Flake Cemetery.
Surviving is his widow, Mildred; a daughter, Vonna Rosebrugh, of Sears; a sister Mrs. Eva Vicenus of Mesa, Ariz. two brothers, Ray of Belding and Howard of Traverse City; and four grandchildren

William Monroe Terry, 63, died Sunday, August 25, at the Veteran's Hospital in Tucson Arizona. He will be returned for graveside services at Weidman, at the Forest Hill Cemetery, at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 31. (Published in Mt. Pleasant Daily Times August 30, 1957)
