Harold E. Hillier
EVART - Harold E. Hillier of Orient Township, near Sears, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at his home. He was 80.
Mr. Hillier was born Aug. 23, 1926 in Orient Township in Osceola County, Mich., to Vern Hillier and Zada Culter. He married Joyce VanOrder Sept. 20, 1948 in Sears.
Mr. Hillier attended Tule School and Evart Public School. He was a lifelong Sears area resident. He retired from Evart Products after being employed there as a die setter for 33 years. He was also a farmer until 1997.
He was a member of the Sears Church of God.
Mr. Hillier is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce Hillier of Sears; sisters, Emma Sisco of Lake, and Donna (Charles) Walch of Big Rapids; brother, Vern �Junior� Hillier of Crystal; and a host of loving nieces and nephews (great and great-great).
Mr. Hillier was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Evelyn Phenix.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3 at the Sears Church of God with Rev. Dick Latham officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Evart.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2 at the Corey Funeral Home.
