Elton Darnell, 74, died suddenly at his home June 17 in Freeman township, Clare County.
Friends may call at the Daggett Funeral Home until 2 p.m. Wednesday. He will be taken to the family residence at 2.
Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. From the Brooks Evangelical church at M-66 and US-10. Rev. Andy NcNees will officiate, with burial in Garfield Cemetery at Lake.
Surviving are his wife, Kate, and a daughter, Mrs. Rex Lloyd of Ionia.

Kate Darnell, 90, Rt. 1 Sears, died Aug 21 at Reed City Community Hospital.
She was born April 1, 1886, in Jackson, and had lived most of her life in the Barryton area.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Marie Dearing, Evart; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy Thomas, Sears; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Etta Skalitzky, Lake, and Mrs. Mildred DeVary, Remus; and a brother, Frank Loomis, Kalkaska.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug 24, at the Dagget Funeral Home, Barryton, Rev. Gary G. Mann officiating. Burial will be at Garfield Township Cemetery, Lake.
Friends may call at the funeral home until time of service.
