Benjamin I. Cashen, age 18, of Farwell, died Friday, January 18, 1989 at his
home. He is the son of Leo Cashen and Ruth Ann Ruby and stepson of Robert
Ruby. Ben was born in Clare and attended school in Farwell where he was active
in drama and football. In addition to his parents and stepfather, Ben is
survived by five brothers, Timothy Cashen of Sumner, John Cashen of Alma,
Robert Ruby of Farwell, William and James Cashen both of Florida; five
sisters, Julie Lee Host of Evart, Christi Roe of Big Rapids, Sally Joe Mussel
of California, Thersa M. Lorenz of Florida, ; his grandparents, Mrs. Lera
Owens of Harrison, Mrs. Alma Cashen of Mt. Pleasant; and numerous friends and
relatives. He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael.
Funeral Services
were held at the Coker Funeral Home in Farwell on Monday, January 23, with
Father Joseph Favara officiating. Interment was in the Surrey Township
Cemetery.
