Thank you for visiting the web site. My name is Quang Than and I am an accomplished Vietnamese American mountaineer. I plan to climb Mount Everest in spring 2005 to raise funds for Children of Peace International (COPI), a federally recognized, non-profit charitable organization from Colorado which provides care to the abandoned and orphaned children all over the world.
In an effort to raise funds for COPI, a charity which my wife and I have been supporting for several years, I have organized the 2005 Vietnamese American Everest Expedition. The founder and Executive Director of COPI, Ms. Binh Rybacki, and COPI Board of Directors, have agreed to sanction this climb. The Everest expedition gives me an opportunity to fulfill our vow to raise funds for COPI in any way we can, provide inspiration, as a role model, for the children that COPI supports, and pursue my life-long dream of reaching the top of the highest mountain on earth.
