Mixed report and summits

 ISLAMABAD — Three more climber from two different expedition reached the summit of Gasherbrum II 8035 metres on July 23.

The Italian-Austrian expedition led by Dibona Mario with four climbers was successful and same was the case with British expedition led by Henry Todd with five members.

The three summitters are Dibona Mario and his team mate Benedetti Renzo both Italians from Italian-Austrian Gasherbrum II expedition and Ilgvars Pavls (33) from Latvia member of the British expedition.

Ilgvars Pavls is member of the Seven Summits Club and Gasherbrum II was his third 8000er. He finished his quest for the seven continental peaks in December 99 and in 8000ers he has the summits of Everest and Lhotse.
