Before the main events in Toronto we experienced a few days in a Canadian diocese. The Parishes our group were: St. John's in Delhi, Our Lady of Salette, St. Mary's in Simcoe and St. Bernard's in Waterford. London provided various activities for us including social service projects. A large gathering with other international and local pilgrims happened in a large field outside the city of London with the Bishop attending.
On Monday 22nd July we travelled from London to Toronto. Accommodation in Toronto was at Sheridan College, Oakville. In Toronto the main events took place: Welcoming ceremony, way of the cross, daily catechesis, social and environmental service and various events. We scaled the heights of the CN Tower and also returned to our roots with a big celebration with fellow English and Scottish dioceses! WYD concluded with an overnight vigil and Papal Mass at Downsview Parc.
