Modern World History Syllabus
Course Objective:

Modern World History is a two semester course that examines major turning points in the shaping of the modern world, from the late eighteenth century to the present.  Major topics will include:  the Enlightenment, the Industrial Revolution, Imperialism, World War I, Russian Revolution, World War II, Cold War and Decolonization. The study of current world issues, their origins and the growing interdependece  of people and cultures throughout the world are a primary focus.  To accomadate all learning styles students should expect a variety of in class activities(i.e. independent work, lectures, group work, art projects, simulations, videos, skits, etc�).
