Mobil Oil Intranet Project - Eleven months on project for Mobil Oil as Webmaster for MKE (Mobil Knowledge Exchange) intranet site. Eight months were onsite in Dallas, commuting weekly. Responsibilities included:
- On taking on the MKE Admin project I documented the support function including tasks requiring weekly web site updates, monthly updates, quarterly updates, and yearly updates.
- Support, editing, and User coaching for 700 User pages in Mobil's KnowHow Repository. This repository uses the product Logica (www.logica.com) which provides an online directory structure and allows users to FTP files from within Netscape without using FTP commands. Typical file types included MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPerfect, Canvas, GIF, JPG, etc.
- Directly responsible for over 40 web pages of the MKE site, some of which required monthly updates.
- Track hit-count of MKE web sites.
- On special projects, directed the work of two Mobil IT employees for HTML and CGI coding.
- Redesigned the ScoreCard website to be Y2K compliant and to achieve successive year archiving of data.
- Redesigned of MKE Knowledge Networks web site. This site provided an index to other intranet sites within Mobil, and Lotus Notes discussion areas.
- Maintained MKE User Experience Locator Profiles. The MKE intranet site had an area where E&P Users could enter a Profile of their E&P experience and skills so that others in E&P could search the database for specific skills and knowledge.
- Report to E&P staff on the tools Mobil's GIS (Global Information Services) department were to be providing so that E&P Users could create intranet sites themselves using Microsoft FrontPage tools. Attended the prescribed FrontPage training. Conferred with the Mobil GIS Web Team on my observations and experiences.

Experienced with PCs and Macintosh computers including the following applications on both platforms; text editors for HTML coding, Microsoft FrontPage, Adobe PageMill, Adobe SiteMill, PhotoShop, Canvas, Micrographics Designer. Some experience with JavaScript.
SPECIAL PROJECTS:
- Applied Automation/Hartman & Braun; Designed Hypertext Presentation For New Product - 1989
Designed hypertext/hyperlinked 45-minute presentation on new parent company's process control system. On starting the presentation, the potential customer could follow a 45 minute 'Guided Tour'; or directly click on graphic features and buttons to look at information themselves; or start the Guided Tour but take off on their own at any point to study features they see. Presentation was written in HyperCard.RELATED EXPERIENCE - Community Service:
- Wrote hypertext presentation on subjects for Bartlesville Public Library activities including; Pioneer Westward Expansion (1986); Apollo Moon Landing interactive presentation including Armstrong's sound clip (1989) and Voyager spacecraft's flight to Neptune (1989).
- Chairman & Founder of Technical Support Committee: Served on Bartlesville Public Library Internet Access Policy Committee. 1995-1996
- Formed and chaired a committee in the Friends of the Library to study how to best utilize public computers at the new Bartlesville Public Library. 1989-1991
- Designed and support online sailing club website and discussion group. This website is a virtual sailing club with 120 members all over the US, Canada, and Papua New Guinea. Website provides members virtual sailing voyages at other locations. In the virtual Clubhouse members can view the Photo Gallery of other member's sailboats; and participate in a discussion group where members can share information on voyages and boat projects.
