| 18th July 2001 Kya Main Ah Bhi Tum........ Last night when I was talking to Bilal, webmaster of www.luckyali.s5.com , he asked me about this movie Kya Main Ab Bhi Tumse Pyar Karta Hoon, I said I haven't heard about anything like this. This morning when I woke up and opened the newspaper, the main page had this story about Lucky Ali. The story was about this movie only. Read on for details.... " One Film, two heroines, three roles. Lucky Guy! Bollywood, of course, can go to any lengths when it comes to coming up with the titles for its films. But if you thought that Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam were long enough, then obviously haven't heard of Kya Main Ab Bhi Tumse Pyar Karta Hoon. Directed by Bobby Khan and starring Raveena, Lisa Ray and Lucky Ali, the film marks the singer-cum-actor's first tryst with a lead role. Standing outside at a theatre in the city which is screening Tum Bin, Bobby Khan jokes that the Anubhav Sinha directed film's title is rather short, "For my film, one will have to really strain the neck to read the complete title!" But while its title might be a long one, Kya Main Ab Bhi Tumse Pyar Karta Hoon's shooting schedules, which go on the floor in August, will be short and sweet. The fact of the matter is that Lucky Ali has other films on hand - Sanjay Gupta's Kaante, Dev Anand's Love At Times Square and a Pooja Bhatt-produced project. The film which is first past the theatre post will be the one which stands the best chance of cashing in on the craze surrounding the Lucky guy. And Kya Main Ab Bhi Tumse Pyar Karta Hoon promises too be this film, scheduled as it is to hit the big screen in January next year. "I have been living and breathing this film for more than a year now," says Bobby Khan, even as he keeps the storyline card to his chest. "I want the audience to go to the theatre with no expectations. The film is like a roller-coaster ride of emotions with twists and turns which are hard to predict," he offers. Kya Main Ab Bhi... will showcase Lucky in three roles -actor, music director (debut) and playback singer. Admittedly, there have been instances of film actors trying their hands at singing and crooners such as Talat Aziz and Gurdas Maan dabbling in acting. Lucky Ali, however, marks a departure from previous practices that he is attempting a fulltime career in acting. Mission impossible? Not quite. This talented man's name is Lucky, remember?" | 15th July 2001 Lucky Ali : on T.V. !! The episode of Bharat Ek Khoj started a little late tonight. ut the important thing was, this episode was completely focused on Tissa or you can say Lucky Ali. This is the episode that gives us a sneak preview of the acting talents of Lucky Ali. He had a very important role from the point of view of the episode and boy did he acted well. His main co star this week was Mr. Om Puri. And I can tell you that he was as good as Mr. Puri. You know what? he even sang a song in the episode. Actually he sang a part of it. He was quite good. The bad new however is that, the part featuring Ashoka and of course Tissa have now finished and I don't expect any of the further episodes of Bharat Ek Khoj to feature Lucky Ali. 08 July 2001 Lucky Ali : on T.V. !! So as projected by me, Lucky Ali WAS on T.V. this Sunday that is 7th July 2001. I just got of the show and he had a sort of major role in the episode. If we are Lucky enough, the second episode might also have parts featuring Lucky Ali on them. Be there on DD1 next Sunday. Bharat Ek Khoj, DD1 (National), Sundays, 09:30 p.m. (2130 hrs) Lucky played the role of Tissa, Ashoka's younger brother who against all odds is adamant on helping his elder brother. The Ashoka's role has been played by Om Puri. Let me tell you that he was quite impressive. Lets wish him all the best for his next release Kaante. The film's lead will be the famous singer Lucky Ali who now progresses to cash on his good looks. And what's more? Dev Anand actually plans to finish shooting for the film in three months flat. | 03 June 2001 " Lucky Ali to be seen acting on T.V. All the Lucky Ali fans can now cheer up and celebrate as Lucky Ali will be seen acting on Television. Fans might remember that Lucky Ali acted in the television series called Bharat Ek Khoj. Lucky Ali played the role of Tissa, younger brother of great Indian king Ashoka. It is estimated that the episodes of the series Bharat Ek Khoj, featuring Lucky Ali will be on air either on coming Sunday (10th June 2001) or the one after that (17th June 2001). All those interested in watching Lucky Ali act on television can tune in their televisions at Bharat Ek Khoj, DD1 (National), Sundays, 09:30 p.m. (2130 hrs)" This news item is purely based on the guess work of the webmaster. Bharat Ek Khoj is a television series directed by Shyam Benegal. The series describes the complete Indian history in the chronological order. The role of Lucky Ali however was very limited in the series. He played the role of Tissa, Ashoka's brother. All the episodes of the series preceding Ashoka's have been telecasted and it is assumed that Lucky Ali's part will be aired very shortly.

| 29 May 2001 " Not so Lucky? Lucky Ali's new Avatar as an actor hasn't proved to be all that Lucky for one of his directors. So Aditya Bhattacharya's Avatar has reportedly run into financial trouble. "Because the company funding the film," explains the anxious filmmaker. "Spectra Media, has run into heavy losses due to the market crash." Now he has no idea when the film will take off. Too bad for Bhattacharya, considering his hero still has other films other films to try his luck with acting.
