SPORTS...

Sports is always been an essential part of myself. It brings pleasure and interest to my life in many ways: it promote physical fitness: provide recreation and develop qualities like discipline, co-operation and subordination of individual interests to collective responsibility.

For me the biggest merit of sports is physical exercise. Nowadays, when machines have reduced the working hours, the course of my daily tasks hardly include a good physical workout. But I realize the need of physical fitness to keep my mind into an accelerated pace. So, I
swim it gives me sufficient physical exertion to keep the body & mind in good shape.

On the other hand, swimming gives me enough recreation. I don't swim because I have to, whether I like or not, but because it gives me pleasure. It helps me greatly to forget my work and worries. It refresh me and give me zest for life.

Apart from water sports,
basketball, through-ball, beach-ball and volley-ball are other sports that I play and enjoy occasionally. The fact that makes them different from swimming is that they are group activities. They are played according to some rules. One have to co-operate with their friends or team mates and play as the rules of the game demand. One has to adjust himself to the needs of the team and to play as the situation and the interests of the team demand. You become one in a team of 5-8 players, while in swimming you are an individual.

Tennis, soccer, Formula 1 are some sports I enjoy in front of my TV set with my folks and friends or even alone at times with a bowl of popcorn.
