Our Beloved Sorority.....

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 16, 1920 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC. It was founded by five beautiful Black woman who decided not to embrace the tenants of the other existing sororitites. They instead sought out to establish a sorority based on the priciples of Community Service, Scholarship, Finer Womanhood and Sisterly Love.

The Five Pearls of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. are:

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. is a sorority of many firsts. In 1948 we became the first Greek-letter organization to charter a chapter in Africa. We were also the first Greek-letter organization to form adult and youth auxilliaries - Zeta Amicae, Pearlettes, Amicettes, and Archonettes. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. is the first and only Greek-letter organziation constitutionally bound to another Greek-letter organzation, the Brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
