        CHRISTY FABER BIO

College:
     In the fall of 1998, Christy started her training in the University of Michigan's acclaimed Musical Theater Program.  She was one of 17 freshmen accepted into the program that year.  During her 4 years at Michigan, she was involved in several productions both onstage and behind the scenes.  University Production roles included Diana Devereaux in Of Thee I Sing, Carla in Nine, The Fortune Teller/Violet u/s in Side Show and Ensemble in Cabaret. Christy also starred as Roxie Hart in the University's MUSKET Production of Chicago.  Hailed as one of the best musical theater programs in the country, Christy felt extremely honored to be chosen as a soloist to represent the program in the Midwest Music Teacher's Conference Collage Concert, singing The Alto's Lament for an audience of 3,500 at U of M's Hill Auditorium in February of 2002.  She then performed the song again as a featured soloist at the School of Music's Graduation Ceremony in April. Christy graduated with honors and was the recipient of the Earl V. Moore Scholarship For Outstanding Achievement In Musical Theater.

NYC:
      In June of 2002, Christy moved to New York City. By September, she was cast in her first regional production, The Baker's Wife (Simone) at Goodspeed's Norma Terris Theater. More regional productions followed, including: Mame (Gloria Upson) at North Shore Music Theater, Annie (Star To Be, Grace u/s) at Carousel Dinner Theater, Damn Yankees (Gloria Thorpe) at North Shore Music Theater and My Way, A Musical Tribute To Frank Sinatra (Woman 1) at St. Michael's Playhouse.  Her New York credits include Princesses (Hayley) at The National Alliance Festival For Musical Theater, Michigan On Broadway: A Tribute To Arthur Miller (Ensemble) at the Richard Rodgers Theater, Poe (Anne Lynch) at Cherry Lane, and Gay Divorce (Mimi) Musicals Tonight.  In 2005, Christy played the role of Daphne in the Off Broadway Production of Dr. Sex at the Peter Norton Space.  The next year, Christy conceived and performed her own cabaret with friend Uzo Aduba of Broadway's Corum Boy, at The Access Theater in NYC.  In February of 2007, Christy made her Broadway debut joining the cast of Les Miserables as a vacation swing; performing 7 tracks in the female ensemble.  She has since joined the cast as a permanent ensemble member playing the "Hair Hag" among many other features.  After Les Miz closes in January, Christy will Join the Off Broadway cast of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, playing Woman #1, starting January 14th.
